May 22, 2005 at the Shrine Of Jesus (err... somewhere, somewhere...) 3:00 pm.
it was so cool!!! Kuya Mark and Ate Che are now... married! hehe! ^__^ Congratulations!!! ^_^
May 22... around 9 am, we (my parents, Kuya Mark and me) went to the Manila Peninsula hotel to get... fixed up. *oh... that is where the wedding reception was held too. hehe.* we arrived there at about past 9 am i think... and everybody... got fixed up. *lol* my mom didn't want to have her hair and makeup done by the stylist in the hotel... so she just went somewhere else...
Ate Che and her family were already there and they were also, getting fixed up. (why do i keep on using that term?? @_@)so... the hair stylist did my hair... (half pony... with some... cute twirly err... hair style thingy) and then the makeup artist did my make up duh. =P
and so went the "fixing up"... everybody was busy... everybody was... excited! (i have no idea if they were "excited" all i know is they all looked so nervous and happy at the same time. so i guess that is excitement. ^__^)all that fixing up went on from the morning (i think...) until about... 2 in the afternoon?
and then we all got dressed up... then the others came... the female entourage people (we) wore... fiyooosha (damn... i have no idea how to spell that color so i'll spell it in the... cute-ish way. haha!) gowns.
haha. anyway... the people were coming in already and the cameras... the lights... the stuff. pictures were taken during the pictorial *duh* and so on...
3 pm. well... everybody was ready. we all went down and still... pictorials, pictorials, pictorials. anyway... after the long pictorial, we all drove to the church already. haha.
now here is a funny part.while we were driving, we saw this black ____ (sorry... i forgot what kind of car it was) which we thought was the bride's car... but we really didn't know until we saw the bridal flowers infront of the car. and we were all laughing inside our car... haha! well... i wouldn't consider it as a coincidence (spell?) since everybody was just gonna go to the same place. haha!
anyway... when we got to the church, Ate che of course, just stayed in the car. and everybody there was like...
talking and laughing and happily talking about one thing: the wedding ceremony. haha! then Joanne and Kim saw me and we were talking and laughing and blah blah blah... i really didn't like that part that much... since they said i looked like Angel Locsin coz of my hair and makeup (crosses face) >_< color="#ff6666">6 in the evening already.
everyone went to the Manila Peninsula already for the reception. the guests were lining up... for the registration. the people were all talking and buzzing and laughing etc... (oh not literally buzzing. haha!) then i sat down on table number 12. supposed to be in table number 14 coz that's where we (Kim Joanne and me) were assigned. oh yeah Kim, Joanne and me sat together. ^__^
but i was called to have the pictorials... hahaha. mmmph.
anyway... the program started... the emcees were Kuya Carlo and a pretty lady... i don't really know her name. hahaha. wasn't paying that much attention. lol. i was so into the food kasi. haha!!! yummy chicken! haha! oh... they served us... slices of salmon for appetizer, pumpkin soup (which i didn't really like... sorry though. it tasted really nice at first. but all the sweetness suddenly overtook me. lol) uhm... chicken... i don't really know how they cooked it but it was yummy!!!
sings nummy nummy you are tickling my tummy... haha!!! and blueberry cheesecake ^__^!!! oh yeah... i'll tell you the... blueberry cheesecake thingy later on. haha. so anyway... Tito Gil and my mom talked first... i mean... the speech thingy. and then Ate Che's cousin (???) sang two songs... and the emcees talked... and then there was a violinist and guitarist who played while we ate... and then the LCD show... made by Kuya Mark of course... the best professional flash designer... (for me and his friends. haha!) it was really cool! ^_^
and then...
my speech...
i wasn't really expecting it to be my turn to make my speech yet. as in not really expecting it. so i was so shocked when they called my name. my heart... didn't really pound. coz all of my body was focused on my mind. thinking of "oh. my. gosh." i was frozen in my chair for 4 seconds i think. then there were rushing thoughts in my head... saying the sooner i finish this, the better. then i felt my eyes... go into shock mode... like those in anime. haha! i was looking at Kim and Joanne... i was thinking "what the...? ako na???" i really couldn't believe it. so i just stood up, i felt my knees falling down... and walked to the podium. i chose which mic to use. haha. then... i looked ate Ate Che and Kuya Mark. i was thinking of my lines. my speech. then... the moment i opened my mouth...
i lost all of my words. i had a terrible 'mental block' thingy. all the lights in my mind suddenly fell dead. and i found myself in this room. filled with lots of people. and Kuya Mark and Ate Che were looking at me.
i couldn't even think. i couldn't think of things like "what do i say??? OMG! ang daming tao!!! ano na ang gagawin ko?!?!" i couldn't!!! even the smallest details... i couldn't think of them! all i know was... i was there. laughing. trying to mke something happen. then i said some words. and laughed again. and i just went on. saying the things that wasn't in my speech.
THANK GOD.
i found some words to say.
i found the smallest gut in me i used to talk.
i was just there.
talking.
laughing.
and trying to make something happen.
and there i was.
when all else fails, the perfect speech is... to say
"i'm so happy for you. i'm so speechless."
i actually DID say that. *shocked mode*
i couldn't believe i said that!!! speechless!!! i said it!
and i heard the crowd... laugh a bit. giggle probably. then Kuya Mark was laughing. Ate Che was smiling (i think)
*whew*... so i just said some more last thingies for them.
"i just want to thank and congratulate you again."
"just enjoy life"
"i love you."
then i laughed some more. and went back to my seat. shaking my mind off the terrible thing.
but i was shocked. to hear them clap... some where even cheering.
i couldn't believe it.
the moment i sat down, blueberry cheesecake was served.
NILAMON KO ANG BLUEBERRY CHEESECAKE!
that's what you do, you see. when ur hearts beats so fast. all that... terror in ur head. you fill it up by eating. i filled it up by eating.
when i saw the cheesecake infront of me, i grabbed my fork. and... as fast as i could, stuffed the cheesecake in my mouth. (not the whole slice. haha.)
i was eating so fast!!! Kim kept on asking me if i was ok. haha!!!
i didn't care of what i was eating. all i cared about is that i have to eat!
i have to eat something!!!
oh geeeeeeee.... ~_~
the people were actually... saying that... well they were telling me some good stuff... i couldn't understand though.
my mind was in a complete state of shockment.
then... when i... was a bit calm already, i started paying attention again to the emcees. i forgot what they were announcing already though. haha!
Kim and Joanne were just asking me if i was ok. hahaha.
then Ninang Linda's son, told me i had a good speech. but couldn't pay that much attention. i was focusing on my blueberry cheesecake. haha!
oh... i forgot where to put the wine toasting. lol. anyway... it was good champaigne (spell?)... haha!!!
then the program went on...
then of course, the slicing of the cake, the wine thingy... the doves... who weren't ablt to fly coz apparently, they taped their wings... coz the birds might... fly to the glass shandeliers (SPELL???) and... brake them. haha.
then the garter thingy. and the single people thingy... where the "chosen ones" would do the garter thingy. lol.
and then Kuya Mark sang!!!
haha! with Kuya Carlo and Kuya TJ on guitar and Kuya Don on the keys... i mean piano. which i didn't hear`at all. LOL! ang daya nga eh! di na nga nagspeech di pa narinig ang piano niya!!! hahaha! uhmm... they sang... For You... i think. i'm not sure. i'll check later. haha.
it was so cool!!! haha! Kuya Mark sang so great. haha!
paano may band kasi nung college pa eh. haha!!! LOL.
and then another LCD presentation... flash again by the great Kuya Mark... a flash presentation of Ate Che and how she grew up. haha!
then the dance thingy. haha.
*Kuya Mark: i-did-not-cry! the damn song just got into me! and Kim and Joanne were tearing too!!!!* XP
and then some more other things... and then the program ended!
it was such a FUN night. except for my speech part. haha. then Kim Joanne and me took some pictures of ourselves... haha!
around 9:30pm... the only people left in the room (the Peninsula ballroom??? basta ung mga BIG rooms nila. haha) were the Dabao and Ortiz family. plus some waiters who were fixing the room and some ladies who were eating... those who were "guiding" the program. and we just in a table. they served us nuts... and the Peninsula champaigne. hmm... we were just telling stories... haha! and packing the food for us. haha!!! and... just... uhm... telling stories! haha!!! i kept on changing tables. from the parents to my brothers. lol! i kept on eating the peanuts. haha! my dad kept on drinking my champaigne. my mom kept on asking me stuff. Nicole, Andrea and Jersey (the flower girls) were playing with the doves. who were already sleeping. haha!
anyway... then we went back to our room in the hotel... i took a nice hot bath. hot not warm. haha! coz it was suuuuper cold inside!!!! paglabas ko nga nanginginig na ako! haha!!! then we slept na. haha! Ate Shevie and Kuya Don went outside nga pala. dunno where though. haha!
then this morning, May 23, 2005, we ate sa hotel pa rin... oh the food here is SUPER YUMMY! ang daming mga Americans... and Japanese. haha! *wink wink* LOL. ah wala!
and then we left. and here i am. typing. haha! i missed out on some details on the morning part... may 23... haha. too tired of typing na. haha!!!
so... sayounara wa arigatou gozaimasu! .....for reading. HAHA!
